Senior center. Offers Meals on Wheels, congregate lunch program, transportation, shopping trips, day trips, support groups, daily exercise classes, special events, presentations, entertainment, and more; call for details.
Provides University Express programming, which offers free educational classes for older adults in Erie County.
Social Group Respite Program offers free respite for caregivers of the memory-impaired, offering caregivers a break to run errands, attend doctor appointments, go to lunch with a friend, or just relax. Provides one-on-one supervision with social interaction, bingo, gentle exercise, crafts, fun activities, snacks, and more, run by trained volunteers. This is a "social model" program; cannot provide medical assistance for guests.

Congregate Lunch Program: Monday-Thursday, 12 noon; Friday, 11:30am.
Social Group Respite Program: Second Wednesday of each month, 1:30pm-4:30pm.

Eligibility
Grand Island residents 50 years of age and older.
Social Group Respite Program: Individuals with a memory impairment, such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Guests must be able to toilet themselves, eat, and cannot be combative.
