Description
The Mobile Crisis Team is a team of Licensed Mental Health Professionals, Support Staff, and Peer / Family Advocates available to any Chautauqua County resident experiencing a mental health crisis or distress during non-business hours. The Mobile Crisis Team provides access to Licensed Mental Health Professionals for telephone and/or face to face mental health assessment and crisis intervention, resolution of crisis in the least restrictive setting and least intrusive manner possible, prevention of unnecessary emergency department (ED) visits, and linkage to appropriate community mental health resources for ongoing treatment and stabilization.
Monitoring services are also provided for up to 72 hours for individuals who have been released from mental health hospital stays.
Also offers mental health training for community organizations and mental health professionals.

Hours
Weekday evenings and overnights, 4pm-8am; 24 hours during weekends and holidays.
Eligibility
Open to anyone in Chautauqua County experiencing a mental health crisis.

Staff go out into the community, or wherever services are needed, to help resolve crises in the least restrictive setting for the client. Staff are on-call by phone for referrals and home visiting for monitoring and crisis response purposes.
