Early Literacy Development Programs
Description
Program works to explicitly teach emergent literacy skills in order to prevent or diminish reading challenges before they begin. Emergent literacy skills include speaking, reading, writing, and viewing during the early childhood years. This is a multi-sensory program that targets auditory processing skills, expressive and receptive language skills, phonological awareness, print knowledge, academic concepts, fine motor, and sensory skills.

Intake Process
A comprehensive speech-language evaluation needs to be completed and can be scheduled at any BHSC clinic. A book and supply fee payment can be made at any point in the process. This payment officially enrolls the child and secures their placement.
Program Fees
Call for details about program fees. Book and supply fee is an out of pocket expense. Program may be billable to health insurance as habilitative speech-language therapy. Financial assistance may be available based on need.
