Primary Services
Therapeutic Foster Homes
Description
Provides therapeutic foster care. The children in care have higher needs/special needs and require a higher level of care over regular foster care. Their needs may be behavioral, physical, or mental health related. Foster parents receive intensive training both before certification and on an on-going basis to provide education and supports for parenting a child with unique needs. The child's family also receives counseling, support services, and participates in planning for their child's permanency. Foster parents can be specifically trained to work with children on the autism spectrum. Staff take a team approach with family driven, trauma informed care. 24-hour phone support is available to foster families.
