Description
Accepts reports of allegations of abuse or neglect of people with special needs who receive supports or services at state operated, licensed and certified facilities and programs.

Agencies under the Justice Center's jurisdiction include: the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), the Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS); the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), certain adult homes overseen by the Department of Health (DOH) and residential schools and programs overseen by the State Education Department (SED).

Hours
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Open to all.

Intake Process
Call the hotline, also known as the Vulnerable Persons' Central Register Hotline, to make a report. If a person is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1.
