Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

Description
Provides transportation services to Medicaid beneficiaries so that they can get to medical appointments.

Hours
Enrollee Call Center: Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm.

Eligibility
Call for information.

Service Area: Upstate New York Counties.

Intake Process
Schedule transportation by phone, fax, or website. Must have proof of name, birth date, address, contact number, reason for the transportation, date and time of appointment, location of appointment, preferred transportation vendor, and any other special instructions needed for the trip.

Program Fees
Medicaid will pay for the most medically appropriate and cost-effective level of transportation to and from services covered by the Medicaid Program. All non-emergency transportation must be authorized prior to payment; only emergency ambulance transportation can be reimbursed without a prior authorization. MAS does not provide emergency transportation.

Languages
English, Spanish, and Russian are primary, with the ability to speak any language necessary.
