Adult Out of Home Respite Care

Description
Provides free respite for caregivers of the memory impaired, giving caregivers a break to run errands, attend doctor appointments, go to lunch with a friend, or just relax. The program provides one-on-one supervision with social interaction, bingo, gentle exercise, crafts, fun activities, pet and music therapy, and lunch utilizing trained volunteers. This is a "social model" program; does not provide any medical assistance for guests.

Hours
2nd Wednesday of each month, 10:30am-2:30pm.

Eligibility
Individuals with memory impairment (Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, etc). Guests must be able to eat, toilet themselves, and cannot be combative.
