Description
The Center's goal is to assist torture survivors and their families in the healing and recovery process and allow survivors to attend to their health, build effective support networks, and lead productive and meaningful lives.

Western New York Center for Survivors of Torture (WNYCST) is a program of Jewish Family Service of Buffalo and Erie County (JFS) in partnership with Journeys End Refugee Services, Inc, University at Buffalo Department of Family Medicine, and the student-led Human Rights Initiative at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine.

Hours
Monday & Tuesday, 8am-8pm; Wednesday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Eligibility
Refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers who are torture survivors.

Intake Process
Email, call, or find the referral link on the website to make a referral.

Program Fees
Free.

Languages
Arabic, French, Lingala, Kibembe, Kirundi, Luvale, Bemba, Fuliiru, Nyanja, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, Portuguese, and Spanish. Language Line interpretation available for all other languages.
