Psychiatric Day Treatment

Description
Offers intensive outpatient treatment to people experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms that impair functioning at home and/or at work. This level of care is designed to stabilize acute symptoms with the intention of avoiding hospitalization, or to reduce the length of a hospital stay.

Intensive group-based acute psychiatric stabilization program is designed as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric admission. This program is mainly group and individual therapy with access to a therapist, psychiatrist, RN and support staff. The average length of stay is two weeks.

Also offers a weekly family group providing support and education regarding how family members can support their loved one while they are in PHP and post completion of the program; lunch is provided.
