Immigrant/Refugee Employment Programs

Description
Provides pre-employment, employment placement, and post-placement services. Services include World of Work orientation, weekly job club, contextualized English Classes with industry-specific training, one-on-one remote ESL classes, resume preparation, interview skills training, job placement, follow-up, and advocacy. Also links clients to jobs and provides post-employment advocacy with ongoing services once a client is placed.

Hours
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Eligibility
Refugees who have been in the country for up to 5 years; other refugees and immigrants may be able to participate in some training programs.

Service Area: WNY.

Intake Process
Clients must attend weekly job club and professional pathways meetings as scheduled. Those not able to attend meetings due to work or other conflicts need to call and make an appointment.

Program Fees
Free.

Languages
Provides services to clients with limited English proficiency.
