Description
An intermediate level of care hospital offering inpatient psychiatric treatment including psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and educational, recreational, and occupational therapy programs to children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses. Provides comprehensive inpatient and community mental health services to youth who require day treatment, clinic, or intensive case management services (ICM services are specific to Chautauqua County). Goal is to move patient to a less restrictive environment in the shortest period of time.

Also provides evaluation and consultation services to various county and private agencies, courts, and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

Parent Advocacy Program: Includes inpatient and outpatient family support groups, family education, and individual family support during admission and during and after the discharge process.

Peer Support Program: WNYCPC participates in a collaborative partnership with the Mental Health Advocates of WNY (formerly Mental Health Association of Erie County) in order to provide peer-run therapy groups for children and youth on a weekly basis.

Hours
Intake: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Hospital: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Eligibility
Youth ages 4-18 exhibiting severe emotional/behavioral problems requiring intermediate care.

Service Area: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, & Wyoming Counties. Specialized inpatient intensive treatment unit serves additional counties: Chemung, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, & Yates.
