Description
A 570-acre wetland preserve that includes over five miles of trails, a native tree arboretum, picnic areas, a natural play space, and educational gardens to explore daily from dawn until dusk. You can visit live birds of prey near the building. Public programs, animal ambassadors, and docents may also be available to enrich the experience.
The Nature Center itself is home to the Blue Heron Gift Shop and three floors of interactive exhibits, including live animals, which inform and engage visitors of all ages. The Nature Center also has spaces available to rent.

Monday - Saturday, 10am- 4:30pm; Sunday, 1pm-4:30 p.m.
Eligibility
Nature Center Memberships are available but not required to visit. Members receive free admission to the Nature Center and exclusive discounts in the Blue Heron Gift Shop and event admission.

Intake Process
General admission is taken at the reception desk in the Nature Center. To register for an event, please visit auduboncnc.org/events.
Program Fees
Trails and Grounds: Outdoor trails, birds of prey, arboretum, picnic areas, gardens, and Nature Play Area are always free and open to the public from dawn until dusk.

Nature Center Members (adults and children) - Free
Non-member Adults ages 16 and up - $6
Non-member Children ages 3 - 15 - $2
Children ages 2 and under - Free
Maximum cost for a Family - $15
Free admission to the Nature Center for SNAP/EBT cardholders.
