Reading Services for People With Disabilities

Description
A non-profit audio information service that reads newspapers, magazines, books and other print publications to people who are blind, have low-vision, or have other print disabilities that make holding a book or turning a page difficult or impossible.

The agency broadcasts live and recorded programs online over the Internet and on-air over a private radio frequency that covers most of WNY and Southern Ontario. The service and loan of a special radio receiver is free for qualified listeners. The broadcast is live-streamed over the Internet and select publications are available as podcasts. Listeners can download the NFRRS Mobile App for free from Apple and Google Play stores. Publications can also be accessed over the web at www.nfradiorearing.org or through popular podcast players.

Programs are broadcast 24 hours a day, year-round. The readings are all done by volunteers. Volunteer opportunities are always available.
