Primary Services
Reading Services for People With Disabilities

Description
A non-profit audio information service that reads newspapers, magazines, books and other print publications to people who are blind, have low-vision, or have other print disabilities that make holding a book or turning a page difficult or impossible.

The agency broadcasts live and recorded programs online over the Internet and on-air over a private radio frequency that covers most of WNY and Southern Ontario. The service and loan of a special radio receiver is free for qualified listeners. The addition of the Internet to the broadcast platform allows listeners to take advantage of the service on virtually any Internet-connected device to access the live feed or download podcasts of past programs.

Programs are broadcast 24 hours a day, year-round. The readings are all done by volunteers. Volunteer opportunities are always available.
