Description
Works to provide a foundation of learning that enables legally blind students to become independent, self-respecting, and contributing adults in a diverse society. Both day and residential school programs are available. Provides a 5 day residential option to students who require consistency in programming beyond the educational day, who live too far to travel daily, and/or who may require medical or clinical services beyond what can be provided in the school day.
Services available to students may include: Adapted Physical Education, Art Therapy, English as a New Language, Medical/Nursing Services, Mental Health Services, Recreation, Social Work, Transition Programs, Transitional Employment, Vocational Training, and Work Experience.

Hours
Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm.
Eligibility
Students ages 5-21 who are legally blind and have an additional disability which could include: Autism, Deaf-blindness, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, Speech or Language Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, or other health impairment.

Intake Process
Application (PHC-10), evaluation by Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), and appointment with the Commissioner of Education.
