Description
Administers Section 8 rental assistance, first time homebuyer programs, and housing rehabilitation programs. Available for Section 8 participants is the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, which assists participants with obtaining employment and education opportunities while building financial capabilities.
Develops quality affordable housing for individuals, families, seniors, and people with disability-based needs. Manages subsidized properties.
HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency provides home ownership and rental counseling, including pre-purchase, housing search assistance, financial education (consisting of budgeting, credit, banking, and goal setting), reverse mortgage, and mortgage default counseling.
Individual Development Accounts: Offers matched savers programs to help save for Home Purchase, Education, and Small Business Development.
Provides technical assistance to communities and other housing providers.
Offers workshops for property owners on mold awareness, home repair, landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities, and lead-safe work practices.
Staff provides affordable housing opportunities, referrals, and educational programs for tenants and landlords. Maintains listings of affordable apartments and Section 8 friendly apartments in WNY.

Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Low income clients with income within applicable limits, as well as landlords with available rental housing.
