Description
Caseworkers will assess, evaluate, and provide emergency financial assistance, food assistance, information and referral, prescription assistance, and linkages to community resources.

Administers the Neighbor-for-Neighbor heat fund for National Fuel customers who are over 55, veterans, unemployed, or disabled (see separate listing for Neighbor for Neighbor - Erie County - Catholic Charities).

Care and Share Program provides a grant of up to $200 to assist individuals in paying their heating or electric bills. Applications are available starting February 1st until funds are depleted (see separate listing for Care & Share at Catholic Charities of Buffalo).

Member of the WNY Holiday Partnership which provides toys and gifts to low income families for the winter holidays.

Eligibility
Assessment is conducted by Intake Caseworker to identify emergency need. Clients referred by Erie County Department of Social Services must have a written referral.

Self-apply by phone, website, or walk-in; some services by appointment.

Clients need to bring in the following documentation for everyone in household: current picture ID, proof of address, proof of monthly income, and proof of monthly household expenses (if applying for utility assistance).
