The purpose of the Mental Hygiene Department is to plan, develop, and provide accessible, comprehensive, integrated, and outcome-based mental hygiene services of the highest quality to residents of Chautauqua County, maximizing all available resources in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene Services is a Local Government Unit (LGU). The LGU is mandated by New York State, and provides oversight for all Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders services in Chautauqua County.
Monday-Thursday, 8am-6pm; Friday, 8am-5pm.
Service Area: Chautauqua County.
Clients are welcome to come in for walk-in appointments. For clients who cannot come to the clinic in person, counseling is available by video conference and by phone. If the answer to any of the following questions is "YES", please call ahead before visiting the clinics: - Have you been outside of the country in the last 14 days? - Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days or been in close contact with anyone who may have had COVID-19 in the last 14 days? - Do you have any respiratory symptoms?
