Description
A membership-based grassroots local chapter of the NAMI national organization, their mission is hope through compassionate support, advocacy, education, and awareness so that all impacted by mental illness are empowered to live their most fulfilling lives.

Provides a Helpline through which trained volunteer family members and individuals with lived experiences assist caregivers to address their loved ones' (non-crisis) needs and find resources and services.

Services include: Family-to-Family classes, Family Support Groups, and available copies of The Mind Matters: A Practical Guide to Services for People Living with Mental Illness in the Erie-Niagara Region.

Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm.

Open to all.

Intake Process
Phone, mail, email, or attendance at regular meetings.

All virtual groups and classes require pre-registration. In person support groups do not need registration.

Program Fees
Programs and services are free. Annual membership is encouraged; donations are welcome and appreciated. To join or donate, visit www.namibuffalony.org. All are invited to become a member. No one is denied membership based on financial hardship. Annual membership is available for individuals, households, and those with financial need. Membership includes local chapter, NAMI NYS, and NAMI national.
