Dance Instruction, Dance Therapy

Moving Miracles is a therapeutic dance/movement program for individuals with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities. Instructors and qualified volunteer dance partners work with students in a dance studio studying technical and adaptive forms of classical and contemporary dance styles (tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, creative movement). Innovative non-ambulatory program for dancers in wheelchairs. Day hab classes available for adults enrolled in area day treatment and day hab programs. Annual dance recital held the first weekend in May.

Provides sessions in a safe, non-threatening environment for individuals to grow and develop their personal potential. Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of movement, expanding each individual's natural kinesthetic repertoire and studying a dance style in modified or technical form.

The season culminates in an annual May production featuring dancers accompanied by a supporting cast of high school and college interns. The production is open to the public and tickets can be purchased on the website.

Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-8:00pm; Saturday, 10:00am-2:00pm.

Open to children, adolescents, and adults ages 3+ who has a developmental disability or special needs.

Please call and make an appointment for placement session. There is no charge for this introductory appointment.

$30 registration fee. Group lessons are $65 per month, semi-private and private lessons are available based on need.

Instruction concentrates on: the fundamentals of movement, expanding each individual’s natural movement vocabulary, studying traditional dance styles in an adaptive approach. Specialized classes for individuals in wheelchairs are available as well.
