Description
Provides an opportunity for individuals with mental and/or physical challenges to play baseball. Serves individuals of any age who cannot be accommodated by established baseball leagues due to the special needs of their disabilities. Also provides opportunities for able-bodied people to learn about and interact with disabled individuals by acting as buddies to the players.
All games are played on a specialized rubber surface; no grass or dirt is present. With this specially designed turf and buddies that assist them, individuals of any ability can play.
Beeper Ball Game is designed specifically for visually impaired individuals. Specialized beeping baseballs and beeping bases are used in order for the players to identify where the ball and bases are located.
