Description
Arts, education, and recreation community center featuring a year-round art gallery, restored carriage house theater, sports arena, Montessori preschools, nursery school, gardens, and playground on a 25-acre park-like campus.
Programs include: 8-9 gallery exhibits annually; theatrical performances; Montessori preschools for ages 3-5, nursery school for ages 3-5 years; community education classes for children, adults, and seniors; year-round Arts, Culture, Recreation, Education, and Sports (ACRES) programs for youths; youth and adult recreation programs including soccer, volleyball, flag football, floor/roller hockey, and others; various concerts at our Arena and Taylor Theatre.
Special events include: 100 American Craftsmen, Holiday Gift Show, Holiday House, Biannual Quilt Show, Rustic Buffalo Sip and Shop, Music in the Gardens.
Affiliated organizations include: Friends of the Kenan Herb Club, Kenan Quilters' Guild, and Kenan Arts Council.
A Summer Recreation Program for grades 1-6 is offered through the Sports & Recreation Department. The eight-week program will include supervised indoor and outdoor activities and games, as well as arts and crafts.

Typically Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm; hours vary depending upon program and season.
Summer Recreation Program: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm, with extended hours for summer soccer and flag football leagues until 7pm at the Kenan Center arena.
