Sweat Equity Programs
Description
Program offers home ownership to low income families who do not have the income to qualify for a conventional mortgage and who are currently living in poor conditions. Builds new homes for potential homeowners after they complete certification through a qualification program. Potential homeowners are required to complete 500 "sweat equity" hours toward down payment on the house, and cannot move in until all hours are completed and verified.

Intake Process
Request and submit home application. After review by Family Selection Committee, applicant is notified in writing of the need for documentation, to schedule a home visit, and personal interview. No waiting list available. Individuals who do not qualify will be notified and may reapply at a later date.
