Dance Therapy
Description
Family-focused dance and creative movement program for children and adults with special needs beginning at age 3. All members of the community are welcome to join. Program provides weekly dance classes, including combination classes featuring tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and creative movement designed around the specific needs of individual dancers within a group setting. Virtual classes available.
Classes are 45 minutes once per week, September thru May for the full season. There is also a 6-week summer dance program in July thru August. Fitness Frenzy is offered for ages 13 and up in summer and seasonally (call for dates). Instructors and qualified volunteers work one-on-one with students while parents and staff relax. For those dancers interested, an Annual Performance is held for family, friends, and community in May of each year.

Hours
Office: Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-4:30pm; Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm. Hours may vary due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility
Program specializes in instruction for children and adults with special needs, aged 3 years and up, but all members of the community are welcome to participate.
Service Area: Erie & Niagara Counties. Virtual classes are open to any participant from any geographic location.

Intake Process
Class placement is based on age, ability, and schedule.
Program Fees
Non-refundable annual registration fee, $40.
Tuition, $74 per month or $632 per season (September thru May).
Scholarships available based on financial need.
