Adult Out of Home Respite Care, Children's Out of Home Respite Care, Summer Camps, Therapeutic Camps
Description
Provides transformational experiences for children and adults through summer camp, respite programs, and retreat facilities. Programs take place on a 66-acre campus on the shores of Lake Erie, and specialize in bringing together individuals with and without disabilities and/or economic disadvantages.
Cradle Beach's inclusive overnight summer camp serves children with and without disabilities and/or from underserved communities through eight sessions that run from late June to late August. Sessions run overnight on weekdays.
Spring and fall respite programs are available for children and adults with developmental disabilities, ages 8 and up.

Eligibility
Cradle Beach specializes in serving children with a documented developmental disability and/or from a disadvantaged background.
Summer Camp: Children 8-17 years old.
Respite Program: OPWDD-approved individuals can apply for two weekend per calendar year. Ages 8 and up including adults.
New for 2026: Overnight summer camp experience for adults with developmental disabilities over the age of 18 with OPWDD services.

Intake Process
Summer Camp: Applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and are accepted until all beds are filled. Self-apply by phone, writing, online, fax, or walk-in service.

Summer camp fees are based on a sliding scale. Financial assistance available by application.
