Description
A nonprofit organization representing a collaboration of foster care/adoption programs and service providers spanning eight counties. Works to support foster and adoptive families in Western New York. Provides families with resources specifically focused on helping foster/adoptive parents meet the unique needs many of them have.
- Advocates on behalf of children, foster/adoptive families, and birth families.
- Promotes community awareness regarding foster care, adoption, children in need of placement, and the increasing need for families to open their homes
- Engages member organizations in identifying issues and designing strategies to resolve challenges affecting those families impacted by the child welfare system
- Promotes permanency for children in foster care
- Provides support and education to child welfare professionals and foster/adoptive families
