Description
Provides education, advocacy and support for patients, survivors, and families dealing with breast cancer.
Offers TLC Tote Program, designed to assist those who are newly diagnosed (within the past 6 months); totes are given free to those who request them; totes contain information aimed at assisting those newly diagnosed with breast cancer in their treatment decisions and recovery. Also included are comfort items to help ease the difficulty of treatment.
Adopt-A-Family assists breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment and are experiencing financial difficulties due to their disease. To be eligible person must be diagnosed with breast cancer; must live in one of the eight counties in WNY; person must prove financial need by providing the following information (copy of most recent tax return or W2, letter explaining need, receipt of bill/bills needing payment).
Metastatic Fund provide financial assistance for metastatic breast cancer patients. To apply patient can go online and include name, address, phone number, email address, date of diagnosis, and the subject line should read Metastatic Fund.
Also available: Various support groups available, call for dates and times. Monthly program designed to educate breast cancer survivors on methods of wellness and support. Other quality of life activities, social events, and services such as referral to restorative health and exercise classes taught with the needs of breast cancer survivors in mind.
