Description
Offers information and referral to Service Members and their Families regardless of their branch of service or duty status. FAS provides information on resources and benefits that are available within the military network and the local community.

Provides Eight Essential Services which include:

1) Legal Resource and Referrals: Assistance with Power of Attorney/Wills, Service Members Civil Relief Act, USERRA, ESGR.

2) Financial Resource and Referrals: Understanding military pay; referrals for financial assistance grants/loans; referrals for personal financial management training.

3) TRICARE Resource and Referral: Assistance with TRICARE Medical and Dental applications; identifying medical service providers; claims assistance.

4) ID Cards and DEERS: Assistance with obtaining dependent ID cards through nearest RAPIDS Centers.

5) Crisis Intervention and Referral: Emergency assistance with sensitive issues; American Red Cross.

6) Community Information and Outreach: Assistance with Child Care resources, employment and career resources and VA benefits resources. Holiday assistance offered to Military Service Members and their Families; unavailable in 2020 due to COVID-19.

7) Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP): A mandatory U.S. Department of Defense enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical, and personnel services worldwide to U.S. military families with special needs.

8) Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC): Emergency Family Assistance Centers promotes short- and long-term recovery and the return to a stable environment and mission ready status for DoD personnel and their families following an all-hazards incident. Simply, an EFAC coordinates and provides accurate information, comfort, and support to individuals and families impacted by a disaster.

Must be a Military Service Member, Veteran, or their immediate Family Member.
