Description
Provides services to business to meet workforce needs and works with area employers to develop job opportunities. Services include: Recruit and screen potential applicants for jobs, post job openings, search the Job Bank for qualified job candidates, research valuable labor market information and business statistics, assist with designing and funding training programs, provide on the job training and apprenticeships, custom training packages, on-site interview and conference rooms available at the centers for you at no charge, on-site job fairs, tax credit information and pre-approvals, rapid response programs.
Provides services to job seekers including: Job search assistance, Job readiness assessment, Job counseling, Support for keeping a job, Comprehensive skill assessment, Individual employment planning, Group counseling, Career planning, Referral to job training, Occupational skill training, On-the-job training, Skill upgrading, Adult education, Literacy training (computer, reading/writing, etc.). Career counselors help develop a plan that will enable clients to reach their career goals while utilizing state-of-the-art job search techniques. Provides assistance identifying job openings that are ideal for the client and developing winning resumes that will give the competitive edge in a client's job search.
Professional printing, copying, faxing, and e-mailing services available. Senior, vet and youth employment programs available. Temporary employment is also available to help gain experience, if needed.

Hours
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. Please refer to website for individual county offices.
Eligibility
Residents of Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties in need of career counseling, job search/placement, senior employment (55 and older), and youth employment (ages 16-24).
