Rent Payment Assistance

Description
Provides arrears assistance to individuals experiencing brief circumstances that caused them to temporarily fall behind on rent. Tenants must belong to a low-income household and have an eviction court date. Arrears must be for whatever unit the tenant currently resides in and must be paid directly to the landlord. Arrears cannot exceed a particular limit of months.

Other services may include connection with eviction prevention representation and both information and referrals for further assistance, with the aim of stabilizing the tenant in their home and resolving whatever issues led to the threat of eviction.

Program is available seasonally and/or until full capacity is reached.
