Caregiver/Care Receiver Support Groups
Description
Support group for persons who are providing care for Alzheimer's and dementia patients. Caregivers are provided with a safe, open, nonjudgmental environment where people may share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
Opportunities are provided for caregivers to discuss possible new treatments and medications, and there will be pertinent materials and information to group members as they become available. Facilitators will introduce caregivers to organizations that offer a variety of counseling sessions, educational programs, wellness events, and support groups to help caregivers with day-to-day tasks of caring for their loved ones and maintaining their own health.

Hours
Group meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month, 10am-12 noon.
Eligibility
Caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and/or dementia.
