Description
Website that allows New York State tenants impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to send a hardship declaration form to their landlord and local courts, thereby putting their eviction case on hold until the current eviction moratorium ends on January 15th, 2022. The hardship declaration form can be filled out and filed online, and will be sent via free USPS Certified Mail and email to all appropriate parties to ensure protection.

This online tool is provided by the non-profits Right to Counsel NYC Coalition, Housing Justice for All, and JustFix.nyc.

Eligibility
New York State tenants impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those who have been served an eviction notice or believe they are at risk for eviction. The protections outlined by New York State law apply to tenants regardless of immigration status.
