Eating Disorders Support Groups
Description
A national nonprofit organization dedicated to outreach, education, early intervention, support, and advocacy for all eating disorders. Offers a toll-free, confidential, therapist-staffed helpline and free virtual support groups led by clinicians specializing in eating disorder recovery.
Confidential helpline is run by licensed therapists specializing in eating disorders. Therapists provide free referrals for all levels of eating disorder treatment and care, based on the appropriate level of care needed, insurance coverage, co-occurring diagnoses, and more.
The following Pro-Recovery virtual support groups are available:
- Virtual Friends & Family Group is for loved ones of individuals experiencing and/or recovering from an eating disorder.
- Virtual Pro-Recovery Group is for ages 18+ who are experiencing and/or recovering from an eating disorder.
- Virtual LGBTQ+ Group is a Pro-Recovery Group offered as a safe space for those in the LGBTQ+ community, led by clinicians who identify as members of this community.
- Virtual Larger Bodied Individuals Pro-Recovery Group
- Virtual Mid-Life & Beyond Pro-Recovery Group
- Virtual BIPOC Support Group
