Description
Works to promote the well-being of children and community members through a wide range of experiential safety training and services. Programming is designed to address a large number of safety issues to help prepare the community to handle emergency situations. These age-appropriate hands-on programs include fire, traffic, bike, poison, gun, and home alone safety education, as well as first aid training, CPR training, new babysitter training, distracted driving education, and child passenger safety seat education for parents.

The facility contains a miniature village with paved roads, sidewalks, street signs, a railroad crossing, streetlights, and a four-way traffic signal. Students are given the opportunity to drive electric cars along the village's streets, cross the crosswalks as pedestrians, and demonstrate their hand signals as bicyclists. Students are taught safety in a variety of fun ways, including practicing a fire escape under simulated smoke, encountering an exhibit with Sparky the Fire Dog, and engaging with a state of the art interactive floor.
