Homeless Permanent Supportive Housing
Description
21 apartments designated for households with at least one person who meets the State of New York and Federal definition of homeless or homeless family. Of these 21 apartments, 15 have a preference for survivors of domestic violence. Tenants will have the support of the Matt Urban Center's Permanent Supportive Housing team, including access to case managers working on-site and a broad array of support services.
These 21 designated apartments (comprising The Mill) are located in a large, 78-unit affordable rental housing complex located in Buffalo's Genesee / Moselle Neighborhood, which features modern 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments in a former warehouse space.
Free on-site parking and laundry facilities available.

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Qualify for the Office of Temporary & Disability Assistance (OTDA) definition of homeless individual or family
- Have basic living skills necessary to be able to live in the community and maintain a safe/sanitary dwelling
- Meet general income requirements by household size as defined by NYC HCR, as follows:
Household Size --- Income Limit
1 Person ---------- $32,640
2 Persons --------- $37,260
3 Persons --------- $41,940
4 Persons --------- $46,560
5 Persons --------- $50,340
6 Persons --------- $54,060
Some apartments are set aside for special needs households below the above income limits. All incomes are calculated just prior to signing a lease on the apartment. If the income rises or falls after the time of income qualification, this will not affect income qualification. However, this assumes that the income qualification was correct and true at the time of the qualification.

Intake Process
Must submit 2-page initial application, income verification form with supporting documentation, verification of homelessness and/or domestic violence experience, and program intake form. An additional, larger application will need to be completed thereafter.
