Low Income/Subsidized Private Rental Housing
Description
Low-income/subsidized apartments with priority given to the visually and/or physically disabled. Building has 24 units. Amenities include emergency pull cords; security system; assistance by service coordinator; full size refrigerator and range; community room; central air conditioning; 24 hour emergency maintenance service; laundry facilities; and storage facilities. Trash removal and water included.

Eligibility
Head of household must be 18 years of age or older, income eligible, not exceeding very low income guideline at initial occupancy (50% for Erie County and meeting the minimum income limits). Applicants may not pay out more than 48% of their income to rent and utilities.
Must meet minimum and maximum income guidelines. The maximum income limits are currently based on the median income for Erie and Niagara Counties as established by HUD and are subject to change.
(Tax credit sites have a minimum income unless the applicant has a voucher.)
Preference/priority is given to applicants who are have a physical impairment and/or visual impairment, to applicants whose current housing fails to meet basic standards of health and safety, and/or to applicants from waitlists for public housing or other subsidized housing.

- One bedroom: Minimum one; Maximum two.
- Two bedrooms: Minimum two; Maximum four.
