Description
The census count is mandated by the Constitution and is conducted every 10 years by the US Census Bureau. The next Census is in 2030.

The results of the census determine
- federal funding for public health, neighborhood improvements, education, transportation, and other resources
- the number of seats each state will have in the US House of Representatives
- used to define congressional, legislative districts, and other important functional areas of government

Open to anyone living in the US.

Intake Process
Please complete your form online, by phone, or by mail when your invitation to respond arrives. Census workers will also be available in the community to help complete forms.

Please note that if you are responding online, you must complete the census in one sitting, as you don't have the ability to save your progress. You can see the questions the census asked.

Even if you did not receive an invitation to respond from the Census Bureau, you may respond online, call, or in person with a census worker.
