Description
A volunteer committee that comes together on a monthly basis to offer financial assistance for kids and adults afflicted with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, kids with medical issues, and their families. Monies are raised through an annual fund raiser, a dice run, and donations. Some monies are donated to facilities where past recipients have sought treatment.
In the past, Kids and Cancer has assisted with expenses for medical care, medical equipment, prescriptions, health insurance premiums, clinical trial participation, and incidental expenses related to medical treatment, as well as with medical bills, burial expenses, gas cards, mortgage payments, and car insurance payments. Assistance with non-medical expenses is meant to make the lives of recipients easier while going through treatment.

No regular hours; call for information.
Eligibility
Victims of cancer and other life threatening conditions, kids with medical issues, and their families. Must have a medical condition or a family member with a life altering condition in order to apply.
