A national network of local crisis centers across the United States that provides free, confidential, 24/7 emotional support to people in suicidal crisis, emotional distress, with mental health struggles, alcohol or drug use concerns, or those just needing someone to talk to via the 988 Lifeline. Also provides prevention and crisis resources for individuals in crisis and their loved ones, as well as best practices for professionals in the United States.

Veterans, service members, and their loved ones can connect with the Veterans Crisis Line (see separate listing) by dialing 988 then pressing 1.
