Description
Promotes healthy behaviors through substance abuse prevention and intervention.
Provides the following services:
- Alcohol and drug use prevention through education and training to schools, students, parents, professionals, and the general community
- Consultation regarding program development and case specific issues
- Information and referral (I&R) for individuals dealing with substance abuse, including referrals to inpatient/outpatient treatment and counseling (I&R also available for significant others of individuals suspected of substance abuse)
- Parenting programs such as the Parent Support Group, Parent Forums, and Strengthening Families & Safe Homes program
- Public policy advocacy on alcohol and other drug issues
- Resource library
- Community coalition building and support
- Student/teen/adolescent programs including the Student Assistance Prevention Counseling Program/Teen Intervene Project Northland, An Apple A Day, Too Good for Violence, Too Good for Drugs, and the Skills for Tomorrow Social Skills Program for students in grades Pre-K thru 12
- Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE) and Mindfulness
- Team Awareness NY-Workplace Wellness Program

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
